About Cara
I grew up in this area, and I love coming home. I spend a lot of my life on the road — but every single time I pull back into the neighborhood, I fall a little more in love with it. The porches, the dogwoods, the quiet streets, the way 5 Points and downtown just feel like home. This guide is my way of writing down what I authentically love.

The day job
I don't just help small businesses — I lead GTM partnerships and community for a large social commerce platform. I was the 5th employee at CommentSold, and I've grown right alongside the company through two private equity buyouts. Over the last 10 years, we've helped more than 30,000 content creators turn an audience into a real business.

The long way here
Before social commerce, I was an auctioneer for a live-streaming real estate auction platform focused on estate sales — where we sold everything: the land, the house, the cars, all of it. It taught me how to read a room and move fast, even when the room is a livestream.
I'm a consumer-psychology enthusiast who's grown up with the web. I've had a computer since I was five, so building businesses online feels native to me — fluid, instinctive. My heart is in marketing, customer operations, strategy, partnerships, and sales, and the real joy is bringing all of it together into something that works.

Why this guide
Spending my days around creators who put their authentic selves out into the world inspired me to do the same — to write about what I genuinely love. For me, that's Huntsville. Specifically my home neighborhood of 5 Points, and downtown. That's how The Golf Cart Guide to 5 Points was born.
